FAQs

How does the process work?

There are three distinct phases in our process and you can choose what works best for you. All clients begin with a consultation.

Consultation: This is our initial meeting—usually conducted in your space—where you can go into detail about your goals and any unique challenges you may have. We can answer any general decorating questions, discuss color palettes and talk through potential layouts.

Concept: Here a design scheme is presented in a digital format. You can choose to implement our design concepts yourself or engage us to fulfill the elements of the design plan.

Completion: In this final step, we help implement the design scheme for each space.

How do I prepare for the initial consultation?

We will provide a new customer questionnaire that will help us gather information about your space. We want to know about you, your family and any specific needs you may have. In advance of our meeting, compiling any saved images into a Pinterest board can help guide us to a better understanding of your unique style.

Will you purchase furniture on my behalf?

Sure! We work with a wide variety of vendors and are constantly adding to our preferred vendor list. We prioritize products made in the USA along with socially responsible companies. Many of the relationships we have are direct with the manufacturer, which means you often pay less than you would when shopping retail. If you plan on implementing the plan yourself and prefer we specify retail items only, simply let us know during the initial consultation.

Do you have a preferred contractor or tradesperson?

Yep! We value the relationships that we have built over time with our tradespeople, but we are always open to working with our clients' selected contractors. If you need a painter, wallpaper installer, electrician, cabinet maker, etc., we have lots of great partners we can recommend.

How long does the process take?

Projects can vary widely, but for one room you can expect a 4-6 month timeline from design concept to completion. Custom furniture and extensive renovations can often extend these timelines.
